Haircut!

Sunday night I had the serious urge to cut Jaiden's hair. I don't know where it came from because I was sure I was going to just let it grow. Our awesome friend Heidi did such a great job!... thanks girl!!

Growin' up...

I am so amazed at how fast time goes by. It really feels like I was in the hospital(with a newborn) a week ago. This month my lil boober turns the BIG 1! What happened to that tiny lil baby that used to let me hold him all day long?

I know there are moms that like certain stages of age, but I have to say I LOVE IT ALL! Each month something new and exciting would happen. A smile... then a laugh... sitting up and then crawling. I can't wait for what lies ahead. I know some of the funniest and most exciting years are just around the corner. I'm just excited to know that I'll be able to do it all over again!! I love being a mom more than anything and I'm so happy that we have such an amazing and wonderful little boy who loves us so much.

Jaiden loves getting in the tub... and he loves his sharky towel. I remember when we finally got to ditch the infant tub and just stick him in and let him sit on his own. Boy, that was great! Now he just stands up and throws all of his soaking wet toys out onto the rug... not so great.

Wrrrraaaaaaar!

It's getting pretty close to Jaiden's 1st birthday and I'm feeling like I better get going on the plans.

Today, I decided to give his "gator" cake a trial run.
It consists of 24 cupcakes and a ton of frosting. For this practice go I used mini-cupcakes and I made a buttercream frosting. I've decorated tons of cupcakes before, but it seems like everytime I try something new it proves rather challenging. To make the frosting look like scales I had to cut the perfect tip and use a super steady hand. I think it will be easier to frost the larger cupcakes.

So, it turned out great! The best part is it didn't even take that long. I can't wait to make the final cake!

We FINALLY got a new sofa!

Sorry Grandma Jesse, but the flowers had to go.

It feels really good to have something that matches the rest of our apartment... and when Jaiden saw the movers bringing it in we could totally tell that he was just as excited as we were. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the loveseat... soon.

I told you there was more!! Our precious lil Nugget found a new sleeping spot. This one is for you SHIRLEY! Who does this make you think of?

Seriously... when I think he couldn't get any cuter he does something like this. Mind you, he fell asleep "mid cracker."

This is my favorite... he moved about five different times until he got here.

Sorry everyone...as much as I try to be a good lil blogger i really suck at it... haha. So, today I decided to take brand new pics of each of us.

Pies...

Our super cute nephew Jace wanted to enter the Junior Pie Eating Contest.

Sadly to say, it didn't go very well. He came in last place eating 0 pies and his reason for losing..."I can't do it. I need my hands!"

Dal and Trav did great! I think they both tied for 2nd.

So, my mom decided to buy Jaiden a pair of Jordans. He proudly wore them with nothing but his little diaper on. This kid loves to be nakie!!

We are pleased to announce...

the marriage of London Jade, daughter of Heidi and Marcus Wing to Jaiden Randall Turner, son of Joslyn and Dallin Turner.

So, we had a little picnic for our friend's b-day and our apartment's newest couple decided to say hello. Don't mind that they are drooling.

First off, I would like to thank all of you who check our blog everyday despite the fact that we haven't updated it since who knows when!

So, our lil Jaiden Monkey is 7 months 1 week old and decided today was the day he would eat his dinner like a MAN!

Jaiden's Dinner:

1/2 peaches (2nd foods)

1 squash (2nd foods)

1 turkey (2nd foods)

1/2 vanilla custard w/ bananas (2nd foods)

Believe me it was a mean meal. 3 seconds later he burped and 1/3 of it came right back from where it started. Hey, at least he ate his turkey. Way to go, Nugget!
