Finally...

We never thought it would happen, but it finally did! We got our house! We have been so blessed through this whole process. Thanks so much to our family, friends, realtor, and loan officer! Without them, this never would have happened. We just started moving in and are loving every minute of it...well, I am. I'm sure Dal is sick of the driving and heavy lifting.
Here's a little preview... I have a ton of ideas in store for this home of ours. I'm practically bursting at the seams, dying to get started.
I can't believe I actually have a kitchen! And windows that let tons of light in!

This is my favorite part. The view to our backyard. It's so pretty and peaceful.

Headbands

I just started making these fun headbands. They are so cute and a winter must-have!
I'm selling them for $10. So, let me know if you want one! I can make pretty much any color. These are just a few that I have made.

I can also make kids ones. I'm selling these for $8.
Boys and girls... I can put a cute flower on any girls band.

My Little Peter Pan

After realizing that Jaiden's brown hat made him look like Robin Hood, I decided to make a green one. I think that should clear up any confusion.
I decided to put some costume pictures up early since I have no clue if I'll have time to later. We are very excited for Jaiden's costume this year. It was nice to have the time to make it. I was, however, a little worried that it wasn't going to work. Jaiden threw a nice fit when I had him try on his tunic to make sure I measured right. But, after he was decked out in the full outfit, he decided that it wasn't so bad. We got a "Woohoo!" and some nice jumping from him. He's so excited for Halloween... and all the "nums" he'll get.

Long walks in October...

So far, October has been a very creative month. I decided to invest in some looms to make beanies. Best idea ever. I can't put the yarn down.

I can't wait to get this little guy on a snowboard!!
We have also tried to get out and do fun things this month. So, we headed up Big Cottonwood. It was so much colder than we planned for. Good thing Jaiden had a new beanie(which he kept taking off) to help keep his little nogin warm.

Jaiden loved walking around the lake. He wanted to see some fish... well, he really wanted to swim with the fish.

It was so gorgeous up there. I couldn't stop taking photos.

Go Cougars!!

What we thought would be a disaster turned out to be a ton of fun... even though BYU lost... again. We got lucky and were able to go, as a family, to a BYU game. Jaiden loved it and did really well.
It was so dang hot. We were sweating our bums off. Jaiden kept stealing Daddy Dal's hat so we got him one of his own.
Then he stole my sunglasses. Jaiden loved watching the "big TV" and he cheered loud with the rest of us. "GO COUGARS... WRRAAARR!" Every time the cougar roared he would say, "I hear it... I hear cougar." I love this little guy! He is finally 2! He showed us that being 2 is not always terrible.
Here's the final cake. It turned out pretty good. I'm slightly burnt out but give me a week and I'm sure I'd want to start again.

The Second Birthday Cake... 1 More to Go!

Jaiden is one lucky kid! We've been kinda crazy this year and have had to split his birthday up 3 ways. This cake was really fun to make. It's for his party at Gigi's(Grandma Liz). I got pictures of each stage to show how it was made. The next cake is goin' to be for his party at Papa Sock's(Grandpa Scott). I'll be sure to post some pics :)

Gonna Be 2!

Jaiden is going to be two on the 26th! Because of how crazy September has been, we decided to celebrate a week early. First, here's a few pictures of his cake. I was, initially, going to just frost a cake but when I looked online at some car cakes I just had to go all out. I had so much fun! Here a few pictures to show parts of the process. Yes, it was an all day thing. Surprisingly, I didn't freak out. After five tries, I finally got the fondant to work.

I love how it turned out! I will definitely be using fondant again.

The fire freaked Jaiden out.
Our little birthday boy. He loved his cake and wanted more "tires." It still freaks me out that it has been two years! I miss my little peanut but I love how much fun he is getting.
It was sad to see the car in pieces, but it was yummy!
A few pictures of the fam. I'm sad my camera decided to wig out halfway through. So, sorry to those family members who didn't make it in this post. We still love ya!
The two cutest boys ever! We are excited to soon be close to them. The play dates will be amazing!
